I regularly speak, host conversations, and lead guided experiences that sit at the intersection of art, culture, and contemplative practice.
My talks often blend storytelling with lived creative practice—drawing from my work as a visual artist, writer, and creative director, as well as my years hosting conversations through The Museum of Presence podcast. I’ve spoken at conferences, joined panel discussions, led meditation sessions, and facilitated intimate gatherings where audiences explore ideas through conversation and reflection.
Some presentations take the form of traditional talks. Others become guided experiences—meditations, dialogues, or creative exercises designed to help people slow down, notice more, and reconnect with the creative process.
Topics I often explore:
- Art as a spiritual practice and civic engagement
- Meditation and mindfulness for busy souls
- Creativity and the art presence
- Fatherhood and the creative life
- The importance of diverse communities making books
- Culture, technology, and artificial intelligence
- Buddhism and contemporary art
- Public art and storytelling
- Nashville’s creative community
- Black History through art
Whether speaking at a conference, joining a panel, leading a meditation, or hosting a conversation, my goal is always the same: to open up a space where people feel curious, reflective, and energized about their own creative lives.
